Week XX of 2026
Greetings all!
We have a cool thing happening this weekend, but before we go any farther, rest assured the Quality Control Department is hard at work!
Anthony is lucky to still have its 1930s-era movie theater still open. The interior is beautiful, though it needs work here and there. However, it shows 2-3 shows a month, and this week, Red Dragon Quilts is sponsoring How to Train Your Dragon, the animated original version.
Last year, we showed Eragon. We’re bringing all the dragons to Anthony!
I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie, actually, as I’ve never seen it before. Hopefully, JJ will be able to stay for the whole movie this time. Last time, she only made it about halfway, which I have to say isn’t bad for a 2-year-old.
This hasn’t been a productive week workwise, though. I’ve been fighting a number of ailments, none of which are difficult individually, but when you have three or four things nagging at you, they really combine to make things difficult.
I’m rounding back into form, though. My sleep schedule is starting to settle down, and that’s a big step.
I’m still making progress, though. It’s slow, but steady. The process isn’t always going to be smooth and easy, especially the outside challenges, of which I’ve had my share of late.
One item of progress is choosing the stories for Giant Killer Kaiju. That’s complete, and I’m in the process of writing the introduction and selecting the order of stories. We ended up with a great selection of stories including science fiction and historical events.
You’re going to love it! I’ll talk about it more next week.
I’m also getting ready for P-Con, which is next week. I’m really looking forward to the break and getting my head right after all of this.
I don’t have a lot more to say about how things are going, just that I’m persevering and hopefully will have major strides soon.
But I do want to say to all of you out there who read this, thank you very much! I appreciate you all. I get to do this because of you and I know how lucky I am.
Thanks again and have a great week!
