Greetings all
These pictures are electric because Como is the home of Alessandro Volta, who discovered methane and invented the electric battery. There’s even a temple to him in the city as you can see in the first picture.

Why is there a picture of a crane? Because cranes are everywhere in the area. They seem to be used for every project, in part because elevators aren’t as prevalent nor as large.
The bottom row of pictures, by the way, are ones taken from our hotel room’s balcony. Sitting on the balcony drinking a valpolicella is quite civilized, y’all!

The duomo of Como is not as intricate as the one in Milan, but it’s simply fantastic too.

More pics of the Tempio Voltiano plus some better ones of Como’s funicular.
Well, that’s it for Como. Tomorrow, I’ll become a gentleman in Verona, where something that hasn’t happened in years happened.
