Greetings all!
One fun part of the trip was a visit to Peyrano, a specialty chocolate factory. We’re now one degree from—well, I’ll get to that in a bit. Yes, I’m a tease.
Anyhoodle, on to the pics.

They roast the cocoa beans themselves as well as the hazelnuts, which is a big part of their business. Basically, the get the raw materials and process them all in the machines above.

More machines, and then the first picture of some of their clientele. I may not be a Gucci bag guy, but you could talk me into Gucci chocolates…

At the end of the tour, they gave us a big slab of chocolate and let us decorate them (badly) with a variety of add-ons. Yes, I added peppercorns because that’s my idiom.

They did a special run for Ferrari, and on the platter of samples they gave us, you can see the car-shaped chocolates to the left. Then there were letters from various clients.
Yes, that’s Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman, and some schmuck named Elon, who signed his Interplanetary Chocolate with Ad Astra. Pretty cool, I’d say. There’s also some other letters but I didn’t really have time to take good pictures of them.
There are more pictures if you check the Peyrano page on Google Maps.
Fun and tasty time! Yes, we bought chocolate at their store. We’re not dumb.
And then tomorrow, I get to channel my inner Leonard Nimoy. Maybe Elon will join us. After all, we shop at the same chocolate store. We must be best buddies now, right?
