Greetings all
On our drive from Milan to Como, we stopped by the Silk Museum there. Here’s their website: https://www.museosetacomo.com/?lang_id=2.
I took a bunch of photos, here, more than most. I won’t comment on most of these batches because there’s not always a lot to say that I can’t say right now.
Basically, they had a bunch of old machines and I love those. Many pictures here are just to enjoy the woodworking and metalwork involved. Also, it’s a good trip through the entire process of making silk from the worms to the dresses.
In any case, here we go!

Those yellow strips up top is their way of displaying the timeline. Zoom in for details.

This set is interesting because of all the block printing stuff.

Now we’re to some amazing examples of silk in fashion.
Also, only a few more to go!

And that’s a mulberry tree to conclude it all!
Something like 250 pictures because this place was just really interesting.
Tomorrow, we’ll do some pictures around the city of Como.
