Greetings all!
After finishing in Turin, we traveled to Milan but along the way we visited the Liberty Fabrics printing mill, much to my wife’s interest. This, by the way, was when I discovered there was a company that was widely known called Liberty Fabrics.
I’ll wait while you recover from the shock that my wife knows more about fabric than I do.
Anyhoodle, I thought it was pretty interesting to see the processes in action. Sadly, they wouldn’t let us take pictures on the factory floor so this will be a tiny photo drop of what they would let photograph: their 150-year timeline.

Liberty’s been around for 150 years. Its customers include Oscar Wilde, Queen Elizabeth II, Twiggy, the Beatles, Yves St. Laurent, and David Bowie. That last is especially interesting because he’s wearing a jumpsuit made from their fabric here:
How cool is that?
More about Milan tomorrow.
