Greetings all

Welcome to Rob’s Ramblings! I’m Rob Howell and I’m glad you’re here to enjoy in my wonderful life as a writer, editor, publisher, game designer, quilt store owner (www.reddragonquilts.com) and so much more!

I’m joined here by my co-stars Wynnifred and Bella whenever they deign to make an appearance.

Rob’s Biography

Rob Howell is the creator of the Firehall Sagas, an author in the Four Horsemen Universe, and the creator of the Rob’s Ramblings podcast. Now he helps run Red Dragon Quilts with his lovely wife.

He’s also been a publisher, editor, and contributor in Luke Gygax’s World of Okkorim. He writes epic fantasy, space opera, military science fiction, historical fiction, alternate history, and whatever else seems fun.

On top of his writing career, Rob is a reformed medieval academic, having successfully dodged his doctorate in medieval history with a focus in 10^th-century England. He’s also a former IT professional and a retired soda jerk.

He wouldn’t be here without his parents, who discovered quickly books were the only way to keep Rob quiet. He latched onto the Hardy Boys series first and then anything he could reach. Without books, it’s unlikely all three would have survived.

Now he lives in southern Kansas with the aforementioned wife under the jackpaws of oppression, otherwise known as the Tabby Mafia, Wynnifred and Bella. Above them all is his granddaughter, who rules the family with a very cute iron fist.

This is my podcast where I talk about whatever seems interesting to me. That includes creative processes, music, sports, history, gaming, science fiction, fantasy, and… well… lots of stuff.
